This lad really caught my eye a couple of weeks back when he clocked 28.55 in Shelbourne on a night when Express Ego clocked 28.80. He ran in the first round of an open puppy comp in Limerick last week and won in 28.58 which was slightly back on what I thought he was capable off. Well tonight he certainly set the record straight. 27.99!!
A new national and track record. Limerick has been running quicker than normal of late but I have yet to see a track record set on anything other than a quick track. Harry is very nicely bred, Elite State x Your So Vain. His dam is a Larkhill Jo bitch out of Catunda Lace, the dam of Blackstone Lace who through Irish Derby winner Like a Shot, from the Maythorn Pride line so its not to hard to explain how this lad can run. If he stays he will be a contender for the Irish Derby.
