We are down to the last 48 in the English Derby with the 3rd round heats down for decision this Saturday night. Its really starting to get interesting with most of the lesser class dogs out, and a few fancied ones, and there will be no easy qualifying from here on. Of my original three selections, Jaxerback bit the dust in the second round. He was nailed as soon as the lids lifted and that was it all over for him. Its a pity as its time another classic came to the N.W.
Droppys Robinho picked his form up the last night and I'm expecting a really big run from him on Saturday night, he will need to be smartly away or Tyrur Lee will be around his inside and away in a tricky looking heat 7.
Phoenix Paddy is ticking along nicely and will need to be at his very best in what is the heat of the round and of a quality good enough to grace the final. Express Ego in trap 2 is due a big run and Loyal Honcho is 6 is a likely leader and that's before Larkhill Jim and Farloe Jester are taken into account. If Paddy finishes in the first 3 it will definitely be a case of "job done".
